German for Beginners. An excellent online course in German instruction, Dr. Gölz's German for Beginners is one of the first of its kind on the WWW. It is continually updated with discrete assignments designed for all levels of German instruction. These lessons are challenging but fun to do, which helps motivate the beginning language learner. Very nicely done.

Herr Schwab, a German AND Japanese teacher at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, maintains a well-organized set of pages for his students. There is levity in the form of German jokes, and serious online projects by his students, including an Internet-Roman. Begun by his students, the Internet-Roman invites German classes from everywhere to participate and contribute to the unfolding of the storyline.
Anne Green, Ph.D, Lecturer of German at Carnegie-Mellon University is providing her German students a high-quality, online experience with challenging web-based assignments, collections of relevant and topical links, and important classroom information. Her web projects on young-adult German works of fiction are excellent supplementary materials for her students. They include useful vocabulary lists and study questions. Her site is an excellent example of the utility of the WWW in modern foreign language instruction.
