| This
alignment guide is designed for 4 X 4 block schedule, whereby students take 4
90-minute classes per day for a semester. |
| The
number of days of instruction for the semester is 90, and these days are
parceled into units during which the communicative |
| and
linguistic functions listed below are covered by the teacher. |
|

| Assessments |
|
| For each
unit, teacher can use a variety of assessment tools to determine competency.
These include the standard, |

homework assignments, quizzes, tests, workbook pages. |
