Reflexive Verbs in German - Writing Assignment


Explain what you would do in the following ten situations. Use the reflexive verbs given below:

Accusative Case Reflexive Verbs
  • sich waschen -- to wash oneself
  • sich duschen -- to shower oneself
  • sich treffen mit + (dat) -- to meet with someone
  • sich beeilen -- to hurry oneself
  • sich freuen auf + (acc) -- to look forward to
  • sich rasieren -- to shave oneself
  • sich hinsetzen -- to set yourself down

Note
For umlauts and Ess-tsets use this convention:
  • ä = type alt 0228 Remember to keep the alt key depressed as you hammer out the other 4 digits.
  • ö = type alt 0246
  • ü = type alt 0252
  • Ü = type alt 0220
  • Ä = type alt 0196
  • Ö = type alt 0214
  • ß = type alt 0223
Also, ALL questions must be answered for this exercise to work.

Dative Case Reflexive Verbs
  • sich etwas ansehen -- to look at (something)
  • sich die Haare, die Zähne bürsten -- to brush (one's hair, teeth)
  • sich die Hände waschen -- to wash one's hands
