Assignment for February 11, 1999 - Thursday

Read it first, then do in this order:

  1. Review the present perfect tense. Try out the exercises if you need to.
  2. Review the imperfect tense. Try out the exercises and visit the links if you need to.
  3. Web Assignment - Imperfect forms of Verbs. You will create an answer sheet; examine your answers and send the paper to me in an email, as an attachment. You should have already created your hotmail.com account: remember your login and password for that email account; I would make the password the same as your network password, but your hotmail login name must be different (it cannot begin with a number.) WRITE DOWN YOUR LOGIN INFORMATION IF YOU CANNOT REMEMBER IT. I want to work towards a more electronic learning environment for you, and you must keep up with your logins and passwords.
  4. There are a many web-based exercises on German culture on the WWW. Let's begin with one on Willkommen in die deutschsprechende Welt: a short lesson on European Geography. Do the first page of it.
  5. Staatenlexikon: Explore this website; make a vocabulary list of the main words in describing the countries of the world.

Homework (do in this order)

  1. Read and study all your verbs; old assignments, grammar book. Tomorrow's test will be online, in the computer lab, and the format will be similiar to today's web exercise: with verbal phrases to made into complete German sentences in both the perfect and imperfect tense. Your answer sheets will be emailed to me; learn how to do this today.
