In my 33rd year of this hallowed career,
I travel on the roads that many men fear.
And wonder aloud in whose company
I may yet appear.
The domain name lives,
Avoided, neglected,
But not forgotten.
Spurred on by fellows
And damsels alike,
Who wonder aloud,
When again it takes flight.
The world is aflame,
Billowing smoke,
Obscuring the goodness,
And it drowns all hope.
Ok, so I updated www.kandah.org. It needed something new, after all the madness that has taken place in the past two years since I last scribbled something on these virtual walls. I won't even discuss the horrid happenings of late, I mean, I've weighed in with many many people, IRL and virtuell, and usually my mindset stays unsettled. So other items take hold, like my continuing musical journeys, and my career as a German teacher, with exceptionally kindhearted young students (note picture above, from the June, 2025 graduation), my family, and friends here and abroad. We've lost some loved ones this year and last, sad events that punctuate a life well-lived. Maybe in another time I can revive this page and chronicle the paths I traverse, road bumps and all, but for now, I leave you with a second picture - a fine friend and I in Monterey, California, summer of 2025.
